Balaton is the biggest fresh water lake of Middle Europe with more than 200-km long coastline. It is one of the most important touristic region in Hungary with 180 townships, the number of visitors exceed 2 million in a year.  
Besides the high quality infrastructure (beaches, ports) connected with the lake, the region excels thanks to its other recreational/touristic programs.
